Last week I attended a workshop held By David Swenson and he tould us that the reason given why right side leg should go first is the way the feet then are placed in relation to internal organs like spleen and liver.
However.....
A chap reportedly showed up with X-rays confirming that this spleen and liver were located exactly opposite to what is "normal".
The result was that a) "This is impossible" b) right side leg first regardless.
Cheers
Jens

whats the traditional view on crossing legs the other way in padmasana, dwi-pada sirsana, yoga nidrasana etc - ie right side first.. i have been practicing many years and i feel i need to cross the legs the other way to maintain balance in the body.
