[Kundalini Yoga] Re: Kriya suggestions for ovarian cyst.......Balance

1. Ask the divine for the Balancing the cerebro spinal kundalini channels-
2. Looking and listenting for any 'information, pictures, and memories' that may come from the specific region, giving any insight into the root emotional causes for the dis-ease.
3. Balance again- because sometimes looking deeper into a diseased area without balancing the rest of the being after can draw more heat, and growth to the area.
4. alkalize- cancer or cysts can not live in a high ph environment. Raw food, juice feasting for an extended period can really bring the body around.


For a mother with child you need to be extra carefull with this situation and would do as much research as possible before making any decisions.

Many of the anti parasite cleanses: Dr hulda clarks parasite cleanse, worm squirm etc etc, aka the herbal formulas have very strong herbs that can bring others things out of your system as you purify that may not be good for a baby.

Try and do a diagnosis, with a professional or your self to test your blood and or stool to see what exact parasites you may be working with, or not. It could be an entirely different situation Not requiring a cleanse, but another skin condition. Once you have narrowed it down to a specific species of parasites there a specific frequencies for a rife machine or zapper, or herbal combinations that can deal with your individual issue.

[Kundalini Yoga] Hello Everyone

Nice to see a group like this. I have practiced ashtanga yoga for a while
now and am interested in learning more about kundalini. I am a chemist, a
mom and recently a gardener with a huge garden. I like to practice yoga and
especially stand on my head - 31 breaths today. I like how it feels when I
exert myself in the garden or on my mat. I also like the spiritual aspect of
my practice and meditate frequently. I anticipate learning more about your

[Kundalini Yoga] New Kundalini Yoga Center opening in Cambridge, Massachusetts!

We are excited to invite you to our pre-opening event at Kundalini Yoga
Boston! The only yoga studio in the greater Boston area dedicated to the
practice of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. At KYB, you can
experience yoga classes, workshops and concerts, all in an exquisite
space that features an art gallery, handmade boutique and in-house lounge.

[Kundalini Yoga] Re: ovarian cysts

Greetings-
I am a novice KY practitioner but didn't find any relief for my ovarian cysts. I have been doing acupuncture (TCM) for 3 months with incredible results. I can't speak about what a change it's made for me.
 
Similar to the person who wrote about stagnation...the TCM theory says cysts are either due to 'too much cold' 'too much stagnation' or 'too much phlegm'. Therefore, the needles open the channels to reduce stagnation, moxibustion is used to bring in heat and diet changes are made to reduce phlegm.
 
I'd love to know specific KY kriyas too!

One of the major causes of ovarian cysts is the blockage of fluids. This whole area needs to be massaged and exercised -- for all women on a regular basis. The fluids get blocked in the whole vagina area and then back up into the ovaries.

I know some who has reduced her cysts this way. One is gone. Her husband gives her theraputic vaginal massage regularily.

The exercises in Nabhi kriya are good, but not excessive stretch pose. Do stretch pose one leg at a time. And of course reduce the times of the exercises. All other leg hip exercises are good and walking. Move.

I would like to find the exact words or transiterations to the sadna songs/prayers so I can sing/chant along. Perhaps they are on the CD cover, but since I downloaded the songs, I do not have one

[Kundalini Yoga] Kriya suggestions for ovarian cyst

I have been practicing KY for the past 2 and 1/2 years and recently started teaching informally out of our house. I am starting my Level I teacher training in Espanola this August. As I do not have much experience teaching, I am turning to your collective wisdom for guidance.

I have a new student in her 50s who has a large ovarian cyst. She is seeking traditional medical attention and is also very eager to learn and practice Kundalini yoga as an alternative/complementary therapy. Is there a specific kriya or meditation you would recommend for shrinking ovarian cysts and for overall hormonal balance?

Spontaneous movements after yoga can happen, it is a way of releasing in some.

In my experience these have opened up any blockages, released tensions, and feels great after.It is amazing how it automagically works, the energy knows where to go, what to move etc..

This is called Kriyas.You can search for "Kriyas - Shinzen" on youtube to know more about
such.

I'm new to KY - have been developing a daily, at-home practice since March and take classes once in a while. About a month ago, after completing a kriya in class, I was sitting in easy pose and started to feel as though I was spontaneously rocking back and forth - it was barely discernible - a very small motion - but it went on for a minute or two. Since then, this happens fairly frequently between exercises in a kriya. Is this usual? Can anyone explain what's going on? Thank you! :) Janine

I'm new to KY - have been developing a daily, at-home practice since March and take classes once in a while. Sat Nam, Yogis!

Could any of you advise me on kriyas that might help combat a
particularly vicious case of acid reflux I experienced last night?
Granted that I might have enjoyed the meal a little later in the evening
than I should have, and cajun peanuts will definitely not be on the menu
again, but the symptoms were severe!

Speaking of kriyas, I have been doing the wake up series, sat kriya (15
mins) sodarshan chakra kriya (15 mins) faithfully for the past 5 years.
They have been great. However, right now I am feeling particularly
stuck in my life -- looking for a new teaching job even though I have
lost the past two jobs I've had due to mutual dissatisfaction. I'm
lacking creativity and initiative!

I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

[Kundalini Yoga] Question about the 4/4 Energizing Breath

Sat Nam!I just joined the online class and received my first lesson. In the instruction for the 4/4 Energizing Breath, it says, "On each part of both the inhale and exhale, pull the navel point toward the spine."I am sure this must be correct. But it is different from most other breathing techniques. It also becomes more and more difficult with each breath. Usually, you do this during exhale and release during inhale.I would appreciate sharing your experience and thoughts on this.

Regarding to your question, I can also share with you that, it´s also a matter of self motivating.  If you see your self doing the activity with and extra effort you will not feel motivate to act.  But if you hear a lovely voice telling you that you will have a great time for sure you will do your activities. It is a matter of how we motivate ourselves. So lets all have fun with our Kundalini.

[Kundalini Yoga] To Take stress away

Sat nam. the Kriya " To take stress away" pg. 34 of the book with the car cartoon on the front . exercise # 4 With hands under hips leaning on elbows raise legs to 60 degrees. This can change the gray matter in the brain " How in the world does one get into this position. It is not shoulder stand nor is it legs at 60 with hips on the floor. i could not do it. Is there a modification that one can do and still benefit from the gray matter of the brain changing?

[Kundalini Yoga] Back Nose drain + body cold

SAT NAM,

Since practicing KY I am noticing that my nose block, during cold, has shifted deeper into the nasal cavity from the front nose portion, this is causing nose drain into throat involuntarily and I wake up at night trying to catch a breathe or feel right..could this be due to improper neck lock during practice..?

Also, I find that my body feels chills during day after practice any suggestions for me?

[Kundalini Yoga] Krya for the Nervous System- KY for YOUTH and JOY

I would like to teach the "Krya for the Nervous System" of the KUNDALINI YOGA FOR YOUTH AND JOY page 43.

I am not sure about the posture number 5. It is on the crow posture. My manual is translated to portuguese, and it says to JUMP in crow posture. Is it correct? Should I jump or raise myself? Do the feet is always on the ground?

I would be very thankful if anyone who has this manual could write to me what does it says on exercise 5 of the english version. A better explanation of the posture will also be very welcome!

[Kundalini Yoga] acid reflux and sadhana

Sat Nam, Yogis!

Could any of you advise me on kriyas that might help combat a
particularly vicious case of acid reflux I experienced last night?
Granted that I might have enjoyed the meal a little later in the evening
than I should have, and cajun peanuts will definitely not be on the menu
again, but the symptoms were severe!

Speaking of kriyas, I have been doing the wake up series, sat kriya (15
mins) sodarshan chakra kriya (15 mins) faithfully for the past 5 years.
They have been great. However, right now I am feeling particularly
stuck in my life -- looking for a new teaching job even though I have
lost the past two jobs I've had due to mutual dissatisfaction. I'm
lacking creativity and initiative!

I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Kundalini yoga is my main thing as it gets results fastest.

[Kundalini Yoga] Re: Sodarchan Chakra Kriya

You're very welcome. I'm very happy to have been able to validate your experience. My experience has been similar. . . my initial introduction to ky in 2001 made me really high, I was loving it. Then after a few years of practicing, I realized I was getting more and more ungrounded and certain practices weren't serving me. When I would go to ky classes or practice at home out of the manuals, I would often finish practice feeling spaced out and less connected to myself, not more.

These days, I do my own yoga sadhana, which is a carefully selected group of practices from kundalini and hatha yoga that I feel are very beneficial to me. I very rarely go to a kundalini class (maybe once a year!), and when I do, I often find my prana starts to get deranged when I do some of the exercises. I see everyone around me whipping their arms around as fast as they can, and I just go very slowly. That "move as fast as you can" approach REALLY does not work for me. I also rarely practice prolonged breath of fire or retention of the breath, unless it feels totally right.

One thing that's very rarely talked about in ky, but forms the basis of traditional yoga practice, is how our different yoga exercises affect the doshas - our ayurvedic constitution. For example, I am pitta-vata - which is fire-air-ether elements, mainly. When I do too much breath of fire or fast movements, my pitta-vata is further aggravated.

It's great that you're coming back to yoga with a heightened sensitivity and sense of discernment, and that you're now able to better help people. I would encourage you to continue to explore and deepen your practice, and try things out. Figure out what feels good to you. Do you do mantras or other meditation? I find the mantras are amazing, but even different mantras will affect the doshas in slightly different ways, so you have to feel which ones are best for you.

If it helps to clarify, I will give you a bit of info on what I do and do not practice, as an example on how to refine your sadhana. This took me years to discover, since I too was swept away by a lot of the hype about this or that kriya being great, or the highest, or the fastest, or whatever. (I started practicing hatha yoga around 1992 at the age of 14, started ky in 2001)


I don't do sat kriya. I don't do prolonged breath of fire. I don't do fast, jerky movements. I don't focus my eyes towards my third eye, as I find this very ungrounding, and I would find that I would create more tension in my face when - I have also observed that other people tense their foreheads up when focusing on their third eye.

I don't do a lot of navel pumping exercises or mantras that require navel pumping - or if I do, I pump very gently. I always make sure, if I ever retain the breath, that my jaw, throat, and chest are relaxed. Basically, I don't do anything that "doesn't feel right" - because I've found that when I push myself to do such things, I feel out-of-whack afterwards. When I started my ky practice, I would push myself to do whatever the teacher said. . . and oftentimes, I would feel great and high afterwards. But somewhere over time, this high was replaced by spaciness and feeling out of sorts when I did things that didn't feel right.

Here's some of what I do practice (not a complete list, just examples), and find to be very beneficial:

nabhi kriya. serabandandha kriya. bound lotus kriya. rocking bow pose (w/o BOF). stretch pose, sometimes with BOF, sometimes without, but never longer than my capacity. slow sun salutations are very good! plank pose is very good, holding with long deep breathing for 5-10 breaths, and relaxed heart, face and throat. some spinal flexing and cat cow, always done at a pace that feels right. . . I love headstand, shoulderstand, and plow. . . I never do these with breath of fire. I also practice nauli kriya, which is a hatha yoga technique.
mantras - in particular mul mantra, for its grounding quality, and "ra ma da sa sa say so hung" for its gentle yet incredible power and transformative effects. I also like to do alternate nostril breathing, rarely with any breath retention or counting breath ratios. I find it frees me to allow the breath to find its own rhythm. I also do simple buddhist-style breath awareness meditation, where I just observe the free movement of the breath. Usually for 10 minutes before I even tune in. I find this to be essential for myself.

Anyway, we don't have external gurus so much any more. . . as Yogiji and many other contemporary spiritual teachings are saying, we have to be our own gurus. Again, I'm so glad you felt validated when you read my post, and inspired to trust yourself and your experience!
