I don't know. Maye ask your doctor. You could at least do the inner
thighs and maybe the buttocks. And that might do the trick.

[Kundalini Yoga] Fertility Mantra?

I am wondering if anyone knows of a good mantra for fertility.

I found some information saying at the "Adi Shakti" mantra would be good,
another website suggested "Sa Ta Na Ma." Any thoughts preferences. I
would not be doing it we my husband as he is not so in to yoga.

Been practicing Yoga since 1965 and every day I feel younger in mind, body and soul. The secret is to keep learning and experiencing the wonders and goodness life has to offer. Attitude is very important and we can start by smiling every day and by being thankful for the little things in our lives. Look in the mirror daily and smile with your inner self and say: Today, I will used my energy for goodness and kindness only; the past is gone and the future is not here. I am eternal and this life is only a dot of Infinity!
PS: I agree with Arjinder, eat green and do light exercise; also spend wisely and stay out of debt (avoid impulse buying) and keep a positive attitude 24/7 and if possible, avoid people with negative vibrations.

[Kundalini Yoga] Migraine set ?? (attn: Guru Rattana)

I found this in the archives and been friends with Ranjit for years,
who did this treatment in 2002. She hasn't gotten another migraine in
all these years! I want to apply this treatment to others but need a bit

Here are the directions as sent to me from Gururattan K:

"The person stands. Someone else beats with fists on the person's upper
thighs for 3 minutes. Hard. Then he beats on either side of the navel
center. Then he beats on the buttocks. ( I can't remember if that is the
order.) But I am pretty sure of the locations and beating with the fists.

For those suffering from migraines have someone do this when you are not
having a migraine. Although I do think I did this to someone while she
was having a migraine and it stopped."

Please try to find a Kundalini yogi to perform the treatment for you --
basically someone who can do 3 intense exercises in a row for 3 minutes
each! Also if they have a Martial Arts background, that is ideal because
they know how to hit you hard without injury. It is a rigorous event,
but well worth it!

I'm 60 and have been practicing Kundalini Yoga for 15 years off & on, but ON for the past 5 years or so. Hatha Yoga also for 20 years, and I teach both styles of Yoga & Pilates. Yoga will help you keep your bones strong, your joints moveable, and your mind calm. Healthy eating habits are also very important – green…green…green. We have many wonderful years to look forward to – and they will be wonderful if we "keep up" with our Yoga and sprout much of our food.

Your email ripped my heart out... I really know how you feel... Really! These are difficult times and being over 55 brings on new challenges for sure. (I just celebrated my 58th birthday myself... on 11-11-11...) Remember that you are not alone. We are all fighting depression, to some degree or another. Sometimes because of our own circumstances, sometimes because of the shifting energies, sometimes because we feel stuck, helpless, hopeless. I experienced a particularly rough time in my life a few years ago, and kundalini yoga helped me through it. The same circumstances that brought it on are still in my life, but I'm able to deal with it much better now.

All the advice that has come your way through this list is great advice! May I say that the Guru Rattana Online classes are WONDERFUL! and so inexpensive. But if for any reason, that is not an option for you, there is also a lovely (free) introduction to kundalini yoga at the website below (also by Guru Rattana):

Your email ripped my heart out... I really know how you feel... Really! These are difficult times and being over 55 brings on new challenges for sure. (I just celebrated my 58th birthday myself... on 11-11-11...) Remember that you are not alone. We are all fighting depression, to some degree or another. Sometimes because of our own circumstances, sometimes because of the shifting energies, sometimes because we feel stuck, helpless, hopeless. I experienced a particularly rough time in my life a few years ago, and kundalini yoga helped me through it. The same circumstances that brought it on are still in my life, but I'm able to deal with it much better now.

All the advice that has come your way through this list is great advice! May I say that the Guru Rattana Online classes are WONDERFUL! and so inexpensive. But if for any reason, that is not an option for you, there is also a lovely (free) introduction to kundalini yoga at the website below (also by Guru Rattana):

..not that I have "credentials" to advise, but I can feel your pain.  I also struggle.  I find solace in meditation; trying to embrace & show gratitude for the good & beautiful things in my life (& if you look they ARE there); getting outside & experiencing Nature's amazing simpicities; & trusting that I do have what it takes to get through whatever I am up against.  You are not alone.

Yes, I am also 57, and you are not alone by any means! It is a difficult age.

Suggestions:
1)Remember to count your blessings everyday,but go beyond that to look inward to contact your infinite, timeless self. Sadhana, YES! If you're having trouble getting going, listen to mantra music and do a simple sadhana with pranayama to get yourself pumped with prana (like tiger claws followed by ego eradicator)

2) My favorite kriya is called Outward Bound, from the Fountain of Youth book (this is sometimes hard to find). It has a strongly euphoric effect after the first 2 exercises. It's difficult so I usually cut the times and reps in half, and still feel like superwoman when it's over. I like to combine it with either the aura building set or Sarbung Dande(serabandana) kriya to really get a glow on.

3) Pranayam every day, experiment and master a few!

4) Read a list of thyroid symptoms and check your thyroid levels if you need to. My outer eyebrows started thinning in my twenties and wax and wane w/ thyroid function. You may have to see an endocrinologist to get a script because regular doctors stick to the ranges, which are too broad.

I could write up the kriya, if you're interested.

Sometimes life can be hard. I can relate with your words. I am also 57, left a good paying job about five years ago and have experienced concerns about my financial situation. I also feel some nasty depression from time to time. My advice is to stick with a practice as often as you can. I have practiced kundalini yoga for ten years and taught for eight. There are days when the best I can do it so sit quietly with my breath, my feelings and my thoughts, often times with my tears. Be easy with yourself. We are changing on a collective level in so many ways just now and at a mind boggling pace it seems. You have also passed through a pivotal point in life, the years from 54 though 56 give or take a few. What used to work just isn't going to be as effective as it once was. Life hasn't passed you by, it is presenting a whole new set of options.

Any form of exercise can improve one's spirit. Yogi Bhajan taught so many wonderful kriyas and meditations which work very specifically. Meditation will allow you to see beyond the patterns of thought which can keep us in the 'struggle'. There are a wealth of sources online (Gururattan's for instance), in books and manuals in classes.

Never lose faith and don't give up.. I know my faith in God, my higher power and Kundalini yoga was being tested. I was sad because I am so trusting and i just trust in my heart that all these things work and that God,my higher power, the masters of the universe, and yogi masters that have come before me are with me.. So this was the plan and it was part of the heart breaking / heart opening experince I went through. I cried everyday for 6 weeks. The mantra really brought the tears out.. Guru Ram Das, God and all the spirit guides , angels and masters of the universe definately restored and heightened my Faith.. a lesson well learned and a heart and mind now very connnected...

Sat Nam ~ so glad you got your dog back. I truly believe that dog is god to
us dyslexics and to everyone else. As a tiny child (long before I knew
anything about KY yoga), we lost our dog over a hundred miles from home and
we were heartbroken. Miraculously through a series of serendipitous events,
we got her back after a whole year; and shortly thereafter a litter of
puppies as well. The lesson I think is to never lose faith or give up.

Actually what you need is another experience. Trying not to be depressed
is a good idea, but not the answer. Practice any Kundalini Yoga and
Meditation and you will uplift yourself by shifting your energy. There

[Kundalini Yoga] Looking for Advice

I am seeking advice to unblock whatever is keeping me from being the spiritual artist I feel is my contribution to humanity. [Kundalini Yoga] Re: stolen dog broken Heart

Sat Nam ~ so glad you got your dog back. I truly believe that dog is god to
us dyslexics and to everyone else. As a tiny child (long before I knew
anything about KY yoga), we lost our dog over a hundred miles from home and
we were heartbroken. Miraculously through a series of serendipitous events,
we got her back after a whole year; and shortly thereafter a litter of
puppies as well. The lesson I think is to never lose faith or give up.
