I know some smoothie reciepes for diabetes type 1 that would help. Using veggies like swiss chard, cucumbers, bitter melon, aloe vera leaf, nopal or cactus leaves and blueberries all have phytochemicals in them the body needs to absorb to help fight and reverse diabetes. Also stay away from cooking with any vegetable or canola oils because those fats encourage insulin resistance. Better use olive oils or coconut oils. Coconut oil is a fat fighter and is antiviral which would help the pancreas. Only consume meats that are organic if you do. And Two meals a day should include bitter melon a vegetable that has phytochemicals that act like natural insulin. I know all of this based on research of different books, web sites, and other doctors who have given me this information and through personal experience.
