I was given a solution to this problem. I was told that if you stand upto a wall, put your hands straight up against the wall, palms facing up. Turn your hands 90 degrees inwards so they are facing each other. Your thumbs should be nearly facing the ground. Just wiggle your thumbs for a few minutes back and forth and it should rectify the problem within a few weeks. Do the excersise everyday for a few minutes when you get time.
It worked wonder for me!
